You can plan your life, work to build your business but God is always in control and knows best. With cancer always being prevalent in my family and my traveling the State from literally one end to the other I always thought cancer or a car wreck would be my down fall. After years of doctors’ appointments of just not know what was wrong, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in August of 2005. There are different kinds of MS and everyone reacts differently, but mine is quite debilitating and I have pushed as long as my body is going to let me. For many of you I have just been the Executive Officer for Paulding County Builders Association when in actuality I own Associations of Georgia, a multi management company for many associations. We have managed 13 associations statewide at one time for years. From the National Speakers Association GA Chapter, many health care industries like the Assisted Living Association of Georgia, Georgia Association of Community Care Providers, Independent Funeral Directors of Georgia, Georgia Auctioneers Association, at one time 4 different Home Builders Associations here in West Georgia the list goes on and on. All with over a total of 5,000 members and over 100 board members and 21 conventions in a year and too many general membership meetings and board meetings in a year to count. But in all of the associations YOU were always HOME, my dearest friends. This is a very hard decision to let go and admit it is now to let go here as well. I had found happy times and great people with all of the others—but YOU—You are my dearest friends. While I have two great high school boys and a wonderful husband and family to keep me busy, I will miss seeing you every month and hearing from you every day. So when we are all out and about please shout out a Hello and know God is always in Control and KNOWS BEST. Don’t take a single day for granted. Live it to the best and for HIM. Love your family to the dearest and appreciate your friends every day. I know I appreciate each of you and the years I have had to be your Executive Officer. It has been an exceptional experience.
