The Paulding County Builders Association helped make a dream become reality by helping to build The Paulding County Child Advocacy Center in Paulding County. The Center has been established to help children where there have been allocations of physical or sexual abuse or where in some cases a child may have witnessed a homicide. At the Center, professionals can interview the children in a "kid-friendly" environment. The interviews are both audio and video-taped, so that information can be shared with the proper law enforcement agencies in order to provide important findings that require investigations and resolve situations; thereby, interviewing a child only once instead of stressing the child by repeated questioning at many different agency locations. Team meetings are also held at the Center so that information can be forwarded without investigations being duplicated by separate sources. Hats off to the Paulding County Builders Association for putting forth such effort to establish a much needed facility for Paulding County.
